Hi everyone! I recently transferred Candie Travels over from Blogger to its new home at WordPress. I made the decision after reading this post by Julie at Peanut Butter Fingers. I am a dedicated reader of her great blog and she is generous enough to post blogging tips for newbies like me! So far, I am trying to get acclimated to the WordPress way of doing things, but I really appreciate the clean look of the templates and the user-friendly factor!

A bit about the inspiration for Candie Travels: I’ve been wanting to start a travel blog for a while (see my About Me page to learn more), but due to life + lack of time + making excuses, I haven’t devoted much time to the blog. In fact, I did only one post about Jamaica at my previous Blogger site. Before that, I did a series of posts about my time studying abroad in Prague on a different Blogger site, which I transferred over here as well. This is a new beginning for Candie Travels and I am going to make the most of my new WordPress home. There are a LOT of fun posts coming your way about my past and future travels.

What to expect from Candie Travels: Domestically, I will be blogging about New Orleans, Boston, Providence, Savannah, Atlanta, Vail, Denver, St. Simon’s Island, Austin, Winter Park, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and more!! Internationally, I will be blogging about Spain, Morocco, Germany, Poland, Italy, and the Caribbean. And those are just places I have visited in the last year! I will also be blogging about planned future trips, places on my travel bucket list, travel tips, and answers to any questions you can come up with!
